Prof. Athanassios Vozikis, Director of The Laboratory of Health Economics and Management of the University of Piraeus, Economics Department.
Dr. Athanassios Vozikis is Professor of Health Economics and Information Systems at the Department of Economics of the University of Piraeus. He holds a degree in Public Administration from the Panteion University, a M.Sc. in Health Informatics from National Kapodistriako University of Athens and a Ph.D. in Health Economics and Information Systems from the University of Piraeus.
He is Member of the Committee of the Ministry of Health for the Monitoring of Pharmaceutical Expenditure and Member of the Expert Council for the Evaluation of Health Technologies (HTA) of the KESY. He has also served as member of the National Council of Public Health and Chair of the Negotiation Committee of National Organization for the Healthcare Services Provision (EOPYY). He is member of various scientific associations and organizations and member of the Editorial Board of several academic journals (see below). He has participated in several EU funded & National (Public or Private) funded research projects, Committees and Advisory Boards related to Public Health & Health Technology Assessment in Health Care.
